On Longing 2

Drink the sun filled air
my love,
my body,
earthly shrine unveiled
where restless soul
and longing rest
in tangled disarray.

Tranquil pools
of consciousness
where dreams
bear sweet witness
to reality,
nurture where the other
so desired does not,
containing all within.

Reflect the beauty
of your soul,
my love,
my body,
in peaceful mindfulness.
Clamorous despair
will not appease
your destiny
nor offer you
the fruits of life
you so desire.

Celebrate the gifts
bestowed upon you,
my love,
my body,
yours to multiply
and give again
blithe jewels
in playful intercourse
with heaven’s rapture.
